Interoperability Assets and Your Department

Hosted by Jeremy Mitchell. Since 2001, "interoperability" has become one of the favorite buzzwords of public safety theorists; but theory, political oversight, and the comparative rareness of these responses (relative to our normal range of emergency services) can make it hard for a field provider to understand what exactly is available to his or her fire department, and how best to use it. This hour we'll review the State of Illinois's interoperability assets, define some of our interoperability terms, and explore different ways local departments can become more familiar with this type of asset.
